Women democratic empowerment project started in the first of February 2015

Women's democratic empowerment program funded by the European Union Jordan started in Feb, 2015.

The program mainly aimed at strengthening the capacity of rural women and members of municipal councils of women to defend women's rights and political participation in Jordan.

The program activate through a set of interrelated activities, which mainly focus on communication and networking skills and advocacy.
In addition to the great support through the project to modify those rights and
policies of discrimination against women.  

Local civil society organizations supported the project and participated in different workshops to build the capacity to be part of this program.

The most important issues that have been highlighted in all the activities of the program are women's rights, in particular the right to political participation, Gender Responsive budget.

The project’s team has been working on three general research about these topics to provide resources for women, civil society organizations and international organizations to improve the rights of local women.

The project ends in May 2017
